nicolator

A typing trainer for learning the NICOLA thumb-shift keyboard (親指シフト) alternative keyboard layout for Japanese. There are some quirks and issues with the current implementation of nicolator, but it’s good enough (at least, it was for me) to become familiar with the layout and jump-start your journey to proficiency.

The practice word list is sourced from JLPT Matome’s N5 word list and includes over 500 simple practice vocab words to practice with.

The sound effects are created with MuseScore 3.
